Paradigm Premier v2 Speakers Target the Step-Up Hi-Fi and Home Theater Crowd!

Paradigm recently unveiled the Premier Series v2, a redesigned loudspeaker line aimed at buyers ready to move beyond entry-level speakers without jumping into the company’s higher-priced Founder Series.

The lineup includes two bookshelf speakers, two floorstanding models, an LCR speaker, and a dedicated center channel. The pricing puts Premier v2 in the serious mainstream lane, not bargain-bin territory. The value angle is whether Paradigm can bring enough of its higher-end driver design and cabinet work down to this price range to make the upgrade path worthwhile.

Paradigm says Premier v2 is a ground-up redesign of the series, with technology derived from its Founder Series.

The high-frequency driver uses Paradigm’s AL-MAC material, a mix of aluminum, magnesium, and ceramic. The company says this is intended to reduce unwanted resonances and improve treble smoothness. Midrange duties are handled by AL-MAG drivers, also using aluminum and magnesium, with Paradigm positioning them for sensitivity and clarity.

Bass comes from Carbon-X Unibody drivers, which use single-piece cones. Paradigm says the goal is controlled bass at higher playback levels. As always, measurements and listening time are needed before treating that as more than a design claim.

The speakers also use Paradigm’s PPA perforated phase-aligning lens and OSW oblate spheroidal waveguide. The intent is to control dispersion and keep the listening window wider and more consistent.

The floorstanding models include outrigger shock-mount isolation feet with carpet spikes and rubber floor protectors. That is practical hardware, not just trim. Better footing can help with setup stability and floor interaction, particularly if the speakers are going into mixed-use rooms instead of a dedicated listening space.

Model pricing is as follows:

Premier 120B v2 bookshelf: $399.99 each

Premier 220B v2 bookshelf: $549.99 each

Premier 720F v2 floorstanding speaker: $999.99 each

Premier 820F v2 floorstanding speaker: $1,299.99 each

Premier 520LCR v2 LCR speaker: $899.99 each

Premier 620C v2 center channel: $1,299.99 each

The home theater angle is obvious. With bookshelf, tower, LCR, and center options, Premier v2 is more than a two-channel refresh. The Premier Series v2 is scheduled for release in June 2026.

Bottom line: Premier v2 is Paradigm’s attempt to make its step-up speaker line more technically current while keeping it within reach of mainstream hi-fi and home theater buyers. On paper, the appeal is not mystery audiophile magic. It is a complete matching speaker family, updated driver materials, controlled dispersion, and pricing that stays below the high-end pain threshold. Whether the performance matches the positioning is the part that still needs proving.
