T.H.E. New York International Audio Show Postponed
T.H.E. New York International Audio Show has been postponed. It was scheduled for September 25–27 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center and Harmony Suites in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The announcement came September 16, nine days before opening. According to T.H.E. Enterprises CEO Emiko Carlin, organizers raised fire-safety concerns and the venue responded by terminating their contract. That’s the organizers’ account of the dispute. They’re seeking another venue and new dates.
Last year’s show took place October 24–26 at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/Meadowlands. It brought a regional audio show back after a gap dating to 2022. This year was supposed to build on that return.
There’s a familiar wrinkle here. T.H.E. Show’s Las Vegas event was originally scheduled for January 9–11, 2026, at Tuscany Suites & Casino. Venue problems forced a postponement there, too. Vegas ultimately happened March 20–22 at Alexis Park, so it would be wrong to count it as a show that never happened. But that makes two 2026 events disrupted by venue problems.

• T.H.E. Enterprises’ claims about fire safety concerns that led to the postponement of the T.H.E. New York International Audio Show at the Meadowlands Expo Center are false.
• The agreement was terminated because T.H.E. Enterprises was unable to meet its contractual obligations for the event. They responded by canceling the event and falsely claiming fire safety concerns.
• Meadowlands Expo Center strictly adheres to all fire safety codes and protocols, undergoes regular inspections by certified officials, and has built a strong reputation over many years as a trusted, safe, and professional venue.

As of September 20, replacement New York dates haven’t been announced. Organizers say existing tickets will be honored at the rescheduled show.
For anyone budgeting for a weekend of listening, admission is only part of the expense. Hotels, transportation and time off take planning. Nine days’ notice leaves very little room to fix those plans
