Real-World Hi-Fi Steals the Show: The Best Sub-$9,999.99 Product Debuts & New Releases from Audio Video Show Warsaw 2026

Every autumn, Warsaw transforms into one of the world’s greatest playgrounds for music lovers. From October 23–25, 2026, the 28th edition of Audio Video Show Warsaw took over three sprawling venues—the PGE Narodowy national stadium, the Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, and the Golden Tulip Hotel—packing 196 exhibition rooms and skyboxes, 262 exhibitors, 700 brands, and a dedicated Headphone Zone featuring more than 50 manufacturers and distributors into a three-day celebration of sound and vision.

If you glanced only at the show’s marquee posters, you might think Warsaw 2026 was exclusively a billionaires’ club. After all, the official show attractions trumpeted a jaw-dropping 10-million-PLN Wilson Audio Autobiography ultra-system in PGE Narodowy’s Paryż B room and six-figure flagship monoliths across the stadium suites.

Here at Audiophiles on a Budget (AOAB), however, we play by a different set of rules. By strict AOAB policy, our coverage is capped at a $9,999.99 USD per-item price limit (applied per component for electronics, turntables, and headphones, or per stereo pair for loudspeakers). Anything crossing the $10,000 threshold—including ultra-flagship head-fi rigs like the €11,999 Feliks Audio EOS tube amplifier or 50,000-PLN RAAL 1995 Immanis ribbon headphone system—gets left at the velvet rope. That discipline allows us to spotlight where the most exciting real-world engineering actually happens: attainable desktop monitors, cleverly engineered 3D-printed and dipole standmounts, Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) amplifiers, Polish-built tube and hybrid integrateds, discrete R2R DACs, anniversary direct-drive turntables, and high-impedance planar, CVD-diamond, and vacuum-tube headphones.

Editorial, Pricing & Transparency Disclosures:

  1. Remote Primary-Source Coverage & Incomplete Accounting: The author did not attend Audio Video Show Warsaw 2026 in person, and with 196 rooms plus a massive Headphone Zone across three venues, this article is necessarily an incomplete accounting of the show.
  2. Strict AOAB $9,999.99 Price Cap & Unpriced Show Previews: In accordance with Audiophiles on a Budget (AOAB) policy, our coverage is limited to products priced at or below $9,999.99 USD per component or per stereo loudspeaker pair. Where manufacturers publish official prices only in EUR, GBP, PLN, CZK, or JPY, approximate USD equivalents are noted for reader convenience using late-October 2026 spot rates (1 EUR ≈ $1.08 USD, 1 GBP ≈ $1.30 USD, 1 USD ≈ 3.98 PLN, 1 USD ≈ 23.3 CZK, 1 USD ≈ 150 JPY). Where a product debuted at AVS 2026 as a prototype or without a published numeric MSRP on the manufacturer’s own website, it is explicitly labeled as an unpriced preview/prototype rather than a certified retail price.

Part I: Loudspeaker Debuts & Showcases Under $9,999.99

Warsaw has long been a proving ground for bold acoustic engineering—especially from Poland’s own thriving loudspeaker industry and its European neighbors. At the 2026 show, two clear trends dominated the sub-$10,000 speaker rooms: complete active wireless stereo systems that eliminate the traditional rack of boxes without sacrificing audiophile resolving power, and unconventional cabinet topologies—from single-driver transmission lines and semi-open-baffle dipoles to 3D-printed monocoque enclosures.

Polish specialist Closer Acoustics—managed by Stereopolis and typically associated with high-efficiency speakers and low-wattage triode tube amplifiers—pulled off one of the most unexpected world premieres of AVS 2026 in SkyBox 201. Unveiled on the eve of the show (October 22, 2026), the OGY Active takes the company’s miniature transmission-line loudspeaker and reimagines it as a turnkey, zero-speaker-cable wireless hi-fi system.

Like the passive OGY, each compact cabinet (125 × 308 × 345 mm, 6.6 kg per speaker) is crafted from resonance-damped Baltic birch plywood and folds an internal transmission-line (TL) labyrinth behind a single 4-inch French EMS LB5 full-range wide-band driver. Because there is no multi-driver crossover network splitting the midrange, the OGY preserves the point-source phase coherence that full-range purists crave.

In the new Active version, Closer Acoustics integrates dedicated Class D amplification with custom-programmed DSP inside each speaker alongside a lossless WiSA HT wireless receiver module (operating at 24-bit/48 kHz uncompressed audio with a fixed 5.2 ms latency and better-than-1-sample inter-channel synchronization). Rather than using DSP to force artificial bass boom, designer Jacek Grodecki programmed the processor for driver overload protection and dynamic loudness compensation, gently contouring bass and treble at quiet late-night listening levels while flattening out as volume rises—reaching a stated 97 dB SPL at 1 meter.

Every OGY Active system ships with the Platin Stereo Hub HT wireless preamplifier/streamer, which supports Spotify Connect (including Spotify Lossless), TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast (Chromecast), Roon Ready, DLNA, and Bluetooth 5.2, plus physical inputs for HDMI ARC/eARC, 3 × Toslink optical, 1 × coaxial S/PDIF, USB-B audio, and stereo RCA.

Amphion A15 Active Loudspeaker — White Finish

In Sobieski Room 205, Finnish acoustic powerhouse Amphion celebrated its return to Warsaw by unveiling two all-new products, headlined by the Amphion A15—the brand’s first dedicated active home loudspeaker. Hand-assembled in Finland, the A15 bridges the gap between Amphion’s studio monitors and its domestic Argon series in a clean, Nordic-styled compact cabinet (316 × 160 × 265 mm, 9 kg / 20 lbs per monitor) finished in Black or White.

Acoustically, the A15 is a 2-way active monitor with a rear passive radiator. It pairs a 25 mm (1-inch) titanium dome tweeter set inside Amphion’s signature uniform-directivity waveguide with a 15 cm (5.25-inch) aluminum cone woofer on the front baffle and a matching 15 cm (5.25-inch) aluminum passive radiator on the rear. True to Amphion’s long-standing design philosophy, the active crossover is set unusually low at 1,600 Hz, keeping the critical human vocal band unified and time-aligned while delivering an in-room bandwidth of 48 Hz – 40 kHz (−6 dB) per the October 2026 datasheet.

Inside each speaker sits a custom bi-amplified power module delivering 125 W to the bass driver and 22 W to the tweeter, energized by an advanced Silicon Carbide (SiC) power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC) rated at 93% energy efficiency. Connectivity on the rear panel includes a balanced XLR analog input for wired preamps/DACs alongside an optional lossless 24-bit/192 kHz wireless receiver module, allowing the A15 to function either as a purist balanced active monitor or a high-resolution wireless stereo pair.

Further down the second-floor corridor of the Sobieski in Room 210, Dutch newcomer True Tone—founded by live-sound engineer Robbie Frater and assembled, tuned, and tested in the Netherlands—staged the first public presentation of its T1 Signature active loudspeaker system at Audio Video Show 2026 (currently open for preorder with estimated March 2027 delivery, alongside the upcoming T1 Essence).

Designed to bring live-concert dynamic headroom into domestic living rooms without visual clutter, the T1 Signature (whose published specifications are currently marked preliminary) is a tri-amplified, four-driver active standmount packing 600 Watts of amplification per speaker (1,200 W per stereo pair):

  • Tri-Amplified Power Allocation (2 × 250 W + 100 W): Each enclosure houses two side-mounted 7-inch long-throw bass drivers arranged in a dual-opposed mechanical force-cancelling layout alongside a front-firing coaxial aluminum midrange and textile dome tweeter unit. Per True Tone’s specification sheet, the three onboard amplifier channels deliver 2 × 250 W for the bass and midrange sections plus 100 W dedicated to the tweeter, utilizing a digital crossover between the bass and coaxial assembly and an active analog crossover between the midrange and treble with FIR phase/frequency processing.
  • Wireless & Wired Connectivity: Includes built-in WiSA wireless inter-speaker transmission (with a wired inter-speaker option), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware (with companion control app in development and streaming protocols planned pending certification), HDMI eARC, optical S/PDIF, and stereo RCA inputs. One of the biggest price-to-engineering surprises in the Sobieski Hotel could be found in Room 230, where Czech family manufacturer Heeskof Audio showcased the Xyla (and its updated Xyla Mk II crossover)—a compact, true 3-way bass-reflex standmount priced at just 29,990 CZK (~$1,290 USD) per pair including taxes.

Instead of mitering flat MDF boards into a rectangular box, Heeskof fabricates the Xyla’s monocoque cabinet (400 × 230 × 310 mm H × W × D, 14 kg per pair) as a 3D-printed and hand-finished enclosure with zero parallel internal walls, curved internal bracing, and a sculpted front-firing bass-reflex port. Eliminating parallel surfaces dramatically reduces internal standing waves while minimizing front-baffle edge diffraction.

Despite its modest footprint and direct-to-consumer price tag, the Xyla uses dedicated transducers from respected Scandinavian driver houses and a phase-aligned parallel crossover built with Jantzen Audio and Mundorf components:

  • Tweeter: 19 mm SB Acoustics wide-dispersion textile soft-dome tweeter.
  • Midrange: Dedicated 100 mm SB Acoustics paper-cone midrange driver housed in its own isolated internal sub-enclosure.
  • Woofer: 171 mm (6.5-inch) Peerless high-excursion bass driver.

Created by the Polish engineering team behind full-range specialist Cube Audio, Qualio Audio earned global acclaim with its floorstanding Qualio IQ. In Sobieski Room 118 at AVS 2026, the company showcased the new Qualio Quanteen—a compact standmount monitor (480 × 202 × 295 mm, 8 kg / 17.6 lbs each) that distills the IQ’s semi-open-baffle dipole architecture into a standmount format.

The Quanteen’s top section is an open dipole chamber housing a custom Mundorf Air Motion Transformer (AMT) dipole super tweeter that radiates high frequencies both forward and backward, creating the expansive, three-dimensional soundstage depth for which open-baffle speakers are prized. Below it, a 6-inch SB Acoustics Satori mid-woofer operates in a precision-tuned rear-ported bass-reflex chamber to anchor the low end down to 35 Hz (with a published frequency response of 35 Hz – 31 kHz, 86 dB sensitivity, and a benign 8 Ω nominal impedance). The crossover is hand-assembled using Mundorf, Jantzen Audio, and WBT components and binding posts.

Meze Audio ARTA Open-Back High-Impedance Planar Magnetic Headphones

Romanian design house Meze Audio made one of the biggest splashes of AVS 2026 in the PGE Narodowy’s Symfonia 1 room and Headphone Zone with the debut of its new co-flagship open-back planar magnetic headphone, the Meze ARTA ($6,000.00 USD).

Hand-assembled in Baia Mare, Romania, with an Art Nouveau-inspired frame of precision-machined metal, carbon fiber, and leather (495 g / 17.46 oz), the ARTA introduces an electrical breakthrough developed with Ukrainian acoustic partner Rinaro Isodynamics:

  • 225-Ohm Rinaro MZ5 HΩ High-Impedance Isodynamic Hybrid Array Driver: Whereas nearly all planar magnetic headphones present low impedances (typically 15–60 Ω) that struggle with high-output-impedance OTL vacuum-tube headphone amplifiers, the ARTA’s MZ5 HΩ ovoid driver (102 × 73 mm, 84 g driver weight, 4,650 mm² active area, 0.10 g Rinaro Parus ARTA® biaxially oriented semi-crystalline polymer diaphragm) is engineered with a 225 Ω nominal impedance—which Meze states is the highest-impedance planar magnetic driver ever built, making it an ideal partner for high-voltage tube and solid-state desktop amplifiers (500 mW+ / ±15–18V peak voltage swing into 225 Ω recommended).
  • Published Specs & Accessories: Rated at 3 Hz – 115 kHz frequency response, 98 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz sensitivity, >130 dB max SPL, and <0.05% THD across the entire frequency range. Ships in a custom travel case with two sets of magnetic earpads (Slim Alcantara® and Duo Angled) plus two 2-meter braided silver-plated LC-OFC cables (6.3 mm single-ended and 4-pin balanced XLR).

For listeners shopping below $2,500, Meze’s current catalog also includes four notable recent releases: the POET Jazz Special Edition ($2,399.00 USD), a collector’s run of 11 unique hand-painted pairs built on the POET platform (73 g Rinaro MZ6 planar driver, 101 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz, 55 Ω, 4 Hz – 96 kHz, 405 g total weight on the standard POET); the ASTRU ($899.00 USD) single-dynamic-driver IEM (10 mm PEEK membrane dome coated with 80 layers of gold and titanium in a CNC-machined titanium shell, 111 dB/mW, 32 Ω, 5 Hz – 35 kHz); the STRADA ($799.00 USD) closed-back headphone (50 mm dynamic driver in a magnesium/Macassar ebony chassis, 111 dB/mW, 40 Ω, 5 Hz – 30 kHz, 330 g); and the 99 Classics 2nd Gen ($349.00 USD) in walnut/gold with an included USB-C DAC/amp dongle.

26. Final Audio DX10000 CL (Closed-Back CVD Diamond Flagship) & A8000 DC (Magnesium-Diaphragm IEM European Premiere)

At the Fonnex stand in the PGE Narodowy Headphone Zone, Japanese transducer pioneer Final Audio headlined its Warsaw exhibit with two showstopping models:

  • Final DX10000 CL (¥1,180,000 JPY / ~$7,865 USD): The pinnacle of Final’s dynamic-driver DX series, the closed-back DX10000 CL features a 40 mm dynamic driver with a “Truly Diamond Diaphragm.” Rather than spraying diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating onto plastic, Final fabricates the diaphragm via CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition)—crystallizing real diamond directly onto a precision-formed silicon substrate and then chemically dissolving the substrate to leave behind an ultra-rigid, featherweight pure diamond dome, housed inside a precision CNC-machined aluminum-magnesium alloy closed-back enclosure.
  • Final A8000 DC (Unpriced Prototype — European Premiere): Making its official European Premiere in Warsaw, the A8000 DC is a prototype reinterpretation of Final’s flagship A8000 in-ear monitor. While the original A8000 used a pure beryllium foil driver, the new “DC” edition (Da Capo—musical notation for “return to the beginning”) introduces a newly developed pure magnesium diaphragm, offering visitors in the Headphone Zone a first listen to Final’s next-generation single-dynamic-driver IEM transducer.
