Black Friday Discounts Are Not News!

It’s November, the air up north is chilly, the days are shorter. And like clockwork, the same fall miracle occurs as the leaves drop from the trees: retailers mark down last year’s gear, put a sale sign on it, and half the internet pretends this predictable ritual is breaking news.

“Stop the presses, a Bluetooth speaker is 30% off!” is really an inventory management play. Time to start clearing out the warehouses for next year’s gear.

Audiophiles on a Budget loves a good deal. But we’re not going to insult you by pretending that “Here are some things on sale” is a story. Or that you somehow need a list of “editor approved” affiliate links to buy a pair of headphones. You already know how to shop online and how to spot a bargain.

So this year, here’s our official Black Friday coverage:

  • Discounts exist.
  • Some are good.
  • Some are garbage.
  • You are capable of telling the difference.

Need more advice? When chasing a deal, use whatever tools you like: price trackers, forums, Amazon reviews, and your own common sense. If you see a deal on something you already wanted and it fits your budget, great. If not, also great!

Black Friday discounts are not news. You are smart. Go hunt your bargains, we’ll be here when the “savings event of the year” is over.
